WWE News: More Names from NXT to be Called up on the Main Roster 1

As we have seen over the past few years, bigger events like Wrestlemania or Summerslam bring major names from NXT to the main roster.

This is the reason why special NXT Takeover events take place before the original PPV where big NXT storylines come to a culmination. It paves the way for certain names to get rid of NXT and be a part of the live WWE TV.

Bobby Roode is the first name that emerged to the main roster from NXT following this year’s Summerslam. If we go by the recent reports, then there will be few more names that will soon join him as they will no longer be used on the developmental territory.

According to the rumour roundups from cagesideseats.com, big names from NXT roster are waiting to get into either Raw or Smackdown. The Authors of Pain, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Hideo Itami and No Way Jose are the frontrunners in this list. Aleister Black might also be one of the names, as well.

The list of the names has been prepared in a way that superstars who are not being used in the main storylines can be shifted. No hints were given on the report as of which superstar will be called to which brand.

It was also earlier reported that the NXT Women’s champion, Asuka might also be on the list. But, she is suffering from a collarbone injury, and hence the chances of seeing her on the main roster are less, for now.

The source also reported that earlier planned Superstar Shakeup might not take place, as of now. Rather, the talents will make surprise appearances just like Roode did while debuting on Smackdown Live, on this past edition. It is also to be noted that Shelton Benjamin also returned but not as part of the special drafting event.

Previous reports suggested that WWE might arrange a second superstar shakeup once the Summerslam PPV is gone to freshen up things. However, since there have been some changes to the roster of Raw and Smackdown, already, chances are less that the special event will be brought back. Apart from Smackdown, Enzo Amore has been sent to the 205 Live roster and will continue performing there from now onwards.
