The Undertaker returned to in-ring competition on July 7th. It was a special show from the Madison Square Garden from the New York City.
The rumours were already around the internet that he will be competing in more matches in the near future. His appearance made this speculation look likely to happen.
Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns were the partners of the Undertaker at the MSG show. This super-show ended with the Deadman putting away Kevin Owens with a Tombstone Piledriver. Once the match got over, he showed respect to both of his partners. This segment also ended the show.
The fans also witnessed Undertaker soaking in the vibe of the Madison Square Garden following the event. It was perhaps the final time that he appeared at the most famous arena in the world. Meanwhile, the rumours are getting stronger about Undertaker appearing at Summerslam.
At this point, WWE had confirmed The Phenome would be available for the Super-show-down in Australia. It will be the biggest live event in the history of the company from the Melbourne Cricket Ground. A Wrestlemania rematch will take place between ‘Taker and Triple H.
According to the reports of Twitter user TicketDraw, Undertaker is appearing at this year’s Summerslam. He will take part in a rematch at the upcoming show. It is the same user that previously broke such spoilers around big matches. This time, though he did not reveal the exact match in concern.
Ringsidenews.com added to the report stating Undertaker will face John Cena in a Wrestlemania rematch. This rematch is under speculation due to the short timing that it had at the biggest event of the year. Perhaps, the feud will continue to give us a full-fledged version in due course.
At this time, John Cena is not listed for the Summerslam PPV. He is still on a movie filming spree abroad. Currently, no WWE events have advertised him on or after the biggest event of the summer. Even if he shows up on that night, it should be a one-off match. The part-time stint will continue for the franchise player of the company.
