WWE News: Multiple Plans Changed Due To Seth Rollins’ Injury 1

The physical status of Seth Rollins has been a matter of discussion for the fans as well as for the pro-wrestling insiders, over the past few weeks. It was prior to Royal Rumble when speculations were high that the former WWE Champion was injured and might be out of in-ring competition for quite sometimes. This occurred at the same time when his tag team partner, Jason Jordon picked up a neck injury as well.

Later, WWE checked Jordan and gave updates that he would not be able to compete at Wrestlemania 34. The same was thought about the Architect too, but he is cleared to compete. On his social media handle, he claimed that he is doing fine. However, several backstage stories claim otherwise.

Reports from SportsKeeda stated that the in-ring technician was suffering from a back injury for quite sometimes. The initial belief was that he will have to miss Wrestlemania for the second time in his career. As per remedy, a minor surgery was also recommended. Following this, Rollins was removed from the Elimination Chamber match.

A new rivalry was planned to fill up the mid-card level over the Intercontinental Championship, according to the source,

“The Miz and Finn Balor were initially set to feud over the former’s WWE Intercontinental title at the Elimination Chamber PPV, however, with Rollins & Jordan out, Miz & Balor were added to the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match. Rollins was suspected to have a degenerated/torn lumbar disc. However, the tests for the same came back negative.”

The test reports hinted that Seth Rollins might have suffered a minor muscle tear while competing regularly. A torn lumbar disc was also said to be indicated since the symptoms were much similar that caused the superstar, acute back pain, and inflammation.

But, then again, the doctors diagnosed him on a regular basis that let them to the outcome that the muscle tear that he is suffering from, heals very quickly and there should not be any problem while he competes at Wrestlemania 34. Hence, both Balor and Rollins were added back to the Elimination Chamber match, at the very last moment. If rumors are true, then he will be getting a huge singles match at the grandest stage of them all on April 8th, too.
