WWE News: Negative Backlash Over The Ball Family Segment On Raw 1

When it comes to inviting some celebrity guests on the show, WWE is no stranger to it. Especially when the company is hosting shows in Los Angeles, we are bound to see some known faces from the Hollywood or sports industry, for sure. In such a segment, the company has invited the Ball family to the flagship program of Monday Night Raw on this past edition.

However, it turned out to be a boring segment with the audience giving it thumbs down. In fact, after the disastrous segment called “this is your life” dedicated to Bayley, last month, it is said to be the second worst segment of the year. The segment which was organised to promote the Big Baller Brand turned out to be boring to an extreme level.

In addition to this, the younger son of Lover Ball has used some racist remarks on live television which is totally against WWE’s policy. During the verbal confrontation between the Miz and the Ball family, things got heated, as the 15-year-old boy LaMelo remarked to his father with, “beat that n**ga ass… beat that n**ga ass!”

Now, WWE has turned into a complete PG TV for the past few years with no influence to such remarks. So, they did not take a long time to declare a statement on their behalf to let know that it was not part of the script. Rather, it was the person’s own comments and the company does not take any responsibility for it. Check out WWE’s apology to the fans:

“The inappropriate language used by a guest during a ‘MizTV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values.”

The Miz and his companions, Maryse, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel were present on Raw during this segment. With the majority of the pro-wrestling circuit taking a jab to this segment, Curtis Axel opened up about this incident. In an interview with Minneapolis’ 93X Half-Assed Morning Show, he expressed his displeasure at how things turned out on this past Monday Night. Check out his quotes from the interview:

“Yeah, I was watching it backstage and I was embarrassed. Growing up in the family business like this and seeing some guy… the whole family to me. Granted, you know the kid’s gonna be a superstar or whatever but the dad and the other guy, they do this on a program where my family’s busted their ass- it embarrasses me and it pisses me off. It sucks. They went off on their own and did whatever they did to hype themselves up, so I was disgusted with the whole thing.”

Now that, WWE has given two back-to-back worse segments on Raw, the fans will continue to do the mockery of it. The writers of the show should think twice from now onwards to arrange something for live television.
