WWE News: New Tag Team to be Formed on Smackdown Live 1

The tag team division of Smackdown Live is quite heated up at this moment in comparison to Raw.

At the bygone Hell in a Cell PPV, The New Day and The Usos gave an incredible match inside the steel structure worth to remember for a long time. The Samoan Twins emerged victoriously who will now face the champions from Raw at Survivor Series PPV.

Apart from The Usos and The New Day, there are more than a couple of teams which is quite respected names in the tag division on the blue brand like Breezango, Hype Bros and the new number one contenders, Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable. Also, we are seeing the vignettes of the Bludgeon Brothers coming to the blue brand to make it even stronger.

If that’s not all, then we will have a couple of names who will team up to form another top tag team on the Smackdown roster. If the reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter to be believed, then Rusev and Aiden English will work together to act as a team, going forward.

For quite some time now, we have seen the unlikely alliance of these two. For Rusev, the association was needed, as he was pitted against none other than Randy Orton for a feud over the past couple of months.

However, it did not do any favour for him, as The Viper dismantled him on several occasions and win the feud, ultimately. Since his character was going nowhere on WWE TV, the backstage creative team has come up with the plan to make The Bulgarian Brute and the Drama King work, as a team so that they both can establish their place on the blue brand roster.

Aiden English was a part of the Vaudevillains tag team in the year 2016. With a gimmick from the bygone era, they debuted on the main roster. But, the audience did not like it much, and hence the team did not do well. One half of the team, Simon Gotch was released from the company, later.

So, working with the former United States Champion Rusev might come handy for the Aiden, as he was not involved in any sort of storylines in the recent past. With this, both can appear on WWE TV on a regular basis by feuding with babyface names like The New Day, Hype Bros.
