Wrestlemania might turn into Rusev-mania, this year as sung by Aiden English, on this week’s Smackdown Live.
After much complaints and fan backlashes, Rusev will be seen competing in a match that matches up to his calibre. Earlier, one of the most overrated superstars of recent times were not given any chance at the biggest event of the year.
At the opening of this week’s Tuesday Night show, we were ready to have an earlier scheduled tag team matchup. Jinder Mahal was about to team up with Sunil Singh against the team of Randy Orton and Bobby Roode.
Quite interestingly, Sunil got replaced by Rusev in the contest. Not only he brought a different flavour to the matchup but also won it.
On his way to victory, he had pinned none other than the current US Champion, Randy Orton. It means he became one of the contenders for the title held by The Viper. Quite expectedly, he went to demand a title opportunity to the show-runner, Daniel Bryan.
Apparently, it was granted and the earlier announced US Championship match was altered.

According to the latest updates from WWE.com, Rusev will be the newest member of the United States Championship match. It makes the contest a fatal-four-way which will get contested under no disqualification rules. Check out the official quotes from WWE, here,

It is a good decision taken by the creative team. Earlier, we have seen rants from both the Bulgarian Brute and his wife complaining to get into the match card of Wrestlemania. It was a fair demand considering that in all of the arenas that WWE hosts show, the fans break out into Rusev Day chants.
This certainly makes him the hottest superstar, right now. Hence, inserting him into the men’s battle royal would not be a proper justice to his character.
