Brock Lesnar continues to be a behemoth name on WWE roster with his recent performances. He won back the Universal Championship at the Crown Jewel PPV. It was a dominant win for him after squashing Braun Strowman with five F-5s. Following that, he featured in another PPV match at Survivor Series against Daniel Bryan. No surprise was waiting on the show as he bulldozed his way to the victory.
Update on when Braun Strowman will challenge Brock Lesnar?
At this point, it’s hard to believe that he will drop the Universal Championship until Wrestlemania. This means he will be on the main event scene once again for a second straight year. Speculations are running rampant on who would become his potential opponent at the grandest stage of them all. Braun Strowman is the front-runner in the challengers’ list for obvious reasons.
But there could be a change in plans considering the predictable lineups. According to the reports of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is to arrange a match between Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 35. This guarantees a lengthy championship reign for the beast incarnate. It might have only one title defense in store in future at Royal Rumble PPV.
Braun Strowman is already the favorite to challenge him on this occasion considering the conditions put by Stephanie McMahon. But we still do not know whether Brock Lesnar will defeat the monster among men in this show, again. This could result in the third pinfall loss for Strowman in PPVs resulting downplay of his career.
The source also hinted that Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar will be a pay-off to Roman Reigns to some extent. The Architect remarked that his Shield-brother felt extremely proud to defend the Universal Championship on a regular basis. This is something unlike in the character of Brock Lesnar who barely shows up.
Hence, we can expect WWE mentioning Roman Reigns’ leukemia disease during this feud. In fact, we already heard about the same topic on WWE programming during the feud of Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. So the Big Dog still remains a relevant name on the storyline process including upcoming Wrestlemania 35. Prior to these, all three names involved in the main event scene at the biggest stage, four years ago. Seth Rollins stood out tall capitalizing on his MITB win on that night.
