WWE News: Raw And Smackdown Not To Be Telecasted Live, Next Week
Nov 5, 2016 at 12:04 PM
WWE’s flagship program, Monday Night Raw has been the longest running weekly show in the history of television. Smackdown is the second longest one. Raw has always been a live show since beginning while Smackdown used to be taped on Tuesdays and broadcasted, thereafter. The tradition changed during this year’s WWE Draft after which both the shows started airing live on the USA Network at 8/7c.
However, next week will be an exception and the shows will be pre-taped. WWE is flying overseas to the United Kingdom for next week’s Raw and Smackdown. Both the shows will be taped in Glasgow, Scotland. So, due to the difference between the two-time zones in the US and UK, the shows will not be live.
Generally, Raw & Smackdown goes on the air on the USA Network at 8PM ET and 5 PM PT. But, next week the show will start at the local 8 PM timing in Glasgow. So, we can expect a lot of spoilers from the show all over the social media.
WWE has made it a norm to host at least two Raw and Smackdown shows at the United Kingdom. Last year too, they have traveled to Manchester, England for the same. Raw took place on November 9th, 2015 where we saw the return of the Undertake & Kane confront the Wyatt family who abducted them. The episode also saw Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney, who slapped Wade Barrett after getting into a heated confrontation.
We can expect a number of surprises this time too. Brock Lesnar is expected to address the actions of Goldberg. His opponent nearly cut Paul Heyman into two halves with a devastating spear and thereby sending him to the Hartford hospital. Both Heyman and Lesnar will not be in a good mood, for sure. On the other hand, on Smackdown Live, the Women’s champion will defend her title against the number one contender, Alexa Bliss.
