WWE News: Nikki Bella Opened Up About Her Career-Ending Neck Injury 1

Whether anyone agrees with it or not, Nikki Bella is one of the all-time greats in the WWE. The company made her the longest reigning Diva’s champion for a reason: She was able to build her own ‘Bella’ brand. The fans might love or hate her, but they are on their feet during her each appearance; making her the biggest name on the female roster as per fan following.

Now, her career might see an unexpected halt as stated earlier due to the neck injury. Wrestlemania 33 is going to be the stage where she is set to compete in a mixed tag team match pairing up with her real-life partner, John Cena. After this match is done, there are some serious concerns with her career.

Recently, Nikki Bella has given an interview regarding the neck injury giving her serious troubles for a long time. She also mentioned that what it meant to her to be back into the ring after almost one long year. These were her comments:

“When your legs and feet start to go numb, you just started to realize, like, ‘Okay, something’s happening.’ I was out for so long because we were trying so much to avoid surgery, even though every surgeon was like ‘You can’t avoid this, nothing is going to fix this,’ but I still had hope like ‘No, I’ll do this or I’ll do that, this all should help,’ but none of it did.”

Ever since she returned during Summerslam 2016, she has been on her own on the roster for the very first time since Brie Bella has taken hiatus from in-ring competition. She stated how it felt to go for a solo run in the company by saying,
“In the beginning, I kind of felt like lonely, and I kind of embraced it. Hey, now actually I can prove to people that I’m an individual, I just don’t have to be a Bella Twin to make a name for myself here.

I can be Nikki Bella, Fearless Nikki, and I’ve really enjoyed that. But there are moments like the Royal Rumble or different moments that I wish I could share with Brie, and I do miss seeing her out there. Like when I do tag matches [I think], ‘Oh I miss my sister Brie.’ So it has its ups and downs.”

Even if ‘The Fearless One’ quits to wrestling in the WWE, it is likely that she keep her association with it in the future. There’s no way that WWE is going to cut their tie with a global name like the Bellas are today. This is why Nikki has been named the executive producer for the Total Divas show, as well.
