WWE News: No Title Change Is Expected At The Battleground PPV 1

This Sunday will mark the final PPV before we get to the biggest party of the summer in August. The Smackdown brand will host the Battleground PPV from the infamous Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. The match card is already a stacked one with a little bit of room for an impromptu match on that night.

In total, six matches have been confirmed for the main show including three championship matches. The night’s main event will witness Jinder Mahal defending his WWE title against Randy Orton for the second consecutive row. But, this time the match will be contested inside the ominous structure known as the Punjabi Prison.

As for the other two title matches, AJ Styles will defend his United States title against Kevin Owens after winning it at the MSG Live show back at a live event. Also, the Smackdown tag team championship will be on the line between The Usos and The New Day.

Now, according to a report from cagesideseats.com, WWE creative is not looking to swipe any of the titles prior to the Summerslam PPV on August 20th. Hence, all the champions who will walk into Philly with the title will be able to walk out of there holding it around their shoulder, as well.

Considering the scenarios for all the three matches it is quite likely that this will be the case, whatsoever. Jinder Mahal has a big-time title run, so far. Randy Orton is not likely to end it, at this point earning his record 14th WWE Championship. Besides this, Jinder will draw huge attention from the Indian audience as one of the main eventers of the night.

In the United States title picture, AJ Styles has just won the title a few days and there’s no way he is going to lose it, abruptly. WWE has some bigger plans with the title around his waist in future giving him a longer title run.

There is a slight chance for the tag team titles to change hands. However, considering that The Usos have been a dominating champion since their crowning moment, it is expected that they are not likely to lose it, either. The New day will have to wait some more time before they finally get their hands on the titles.
