The much-anticipated WWE Draft took place on the WWE Smackdown Live last Tuesday night. WWE Raw has grabbed superstars like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Charlotte, Finn Balor etc. whereas Smackdown managed to grab top stars like WWE Champion Dean Ambrose, John Cena, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt etc. The entire pro-wrestling fraternity is still buzzing with the monumental occasion of the WWE Draft.
As we have seen in the WWE Draft, Raw has got the first pick of the evening. The commissioner of the flagship program, Stephanie McMahon decided to choose Seth Rollins as the number one Draft pick from the entire roster. Seth was all over the place after that considering h has beaten the biggest names in the WWE like Roman Reigns, the current champion Dean Ambrose, John Cena or Brock Lesnar.
Speaking of Lesnar brings us to a report done by Wrestling Observer newsletter where they have stated that he was supposed to be the originally planned number one draft pick. Following his dominant win over Mark Hunt at UFC 200, WWE wanted to cement the beast’s legacy as the marquee attraction of the company by giving him the number one spot in the draft. But, the idea got nixed when the news broke out that Brock Lesnar failed the drug test conducted by USADA twice.
As told by Dave Meltzer, after Brock Lesnar, it was the WWE champion Dean Ambrose who was going to be picked by Smackdown. Seth Rollins and John Cena was supposed to follow the consequence for raw and Smackdown, consecutively.
The beast faced a lot of heat after he was alarmed by the US Anti-doping agency for using drugs which were out of MMA fight rule book. Lesnar came out positive with the sample collected from him dated June 28th. In addition to that, UFC further reported that the beast further came out positive with the sample collected just 12 hours prior to the UFC 200 event.
