Rumors are coming all around over the recent happenings between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar. To fuel the events further, it was none other than WWE.com itself came into play. In a recent post on the WWE’s official website, they posted an article hinting the certainty of Goldberg’s return.
As posted in the article, the stuff says, “Could the WWE Universe once again be asking “Who’s next?” in the near future? In an interview on ESPN’s SportsCenter promoting his inclusion in the WWE 2K17 video game, Goldberg addressed the possibility of him returning to the squared circle after more than a decade away.
Goldberg has not been seen in a WWE ring since his WrestleMania XX showdown with Brock Lesnar, but Jonathan Coachman broached the topic with the former United States and World Heavyweight Champion, asking who he would face if he were to step between the ropes once again.”
Meanwhile, Goldberg mentioned Brock Lesnar as his next opponent upon return on the ESPN Sportscenter. Apparently, the advocate general for the beast incarnate was listening to it and hit back Goldberg in his Twitter account. He claimed that this is reality and not any virtual video game. Here’s Paul Heyman’s tweet addressing Goldberg.

This is certainly an indication of things to some in near future. Reports now say that despite Goldberg’s claim that he might not return, WWE creative has agreed to have the match between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. They agree that this, in turn, will be a solid way to promote the WWE 2K17 video game to the fans.
So, Lesnar might step into the squared circle at the Survivor Series PPV against Goldberg in the month of November. After he is done with it, he will be dealing with the Smackdown commissioner, Shane McMahon from Royal Rumble onwards culminating the match at Wrestlemania 33.
