WWE News: Planning for Enzo Amore on the Cruiserweight Division

Two weeks ago, we witnessed Enzo Amore debuting on 205 Live show. He announced on the show that from now onwards, he would continue performing there as a Cruiserweight Division superstar. It was a long-time coming for the Certified G star since his transitioned role was up on the rumour mill for quite sometimes now.
Plus, he was dealing with several backstage heats on the locker room. Not only he continuously received negative reactions from the officials but also from his co-workers, as well. Apparently, his attitude was a big problem for all the superstars at backstage. He is just like the funny guy in his real-life just like he acts one inside the ring, being the reason behind it.
So, moving him into a separate locker room was a far better idea. Plus, it would earn much more attention to the 205 Live show on the WWE Network. Dave Meltzer noted this topic on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter where he stated that from a technical point, Enzo Amore is not up to the mark. He does not possess the in-ring agility that a Cruiserweight star needs. But, he can make that up with his tremendous popularity.
Just to see him every single week on the show, the TV ratings could be increased more and more. Check out Meltzer’s exact comments, here (quotes courtesy stillrealtous.com),
“Here’s the deal, it’s not gonna work out from a match quality standpoint cause Enzo’s not very good. However, he does come across as more of a star than anyone else there, and there’s gonna be more interest in 205 Live cause he’s there.”
At this point of time, Enzo is the one who will be selling the Cruiserweight show and hence we can certainly expect him to give the competition to the champion, Neville on the show and even win the title. But, before that, he has to improve his skills to a far better extent. For Vince McMahon, money does talk, and it’s a fact that Enzo is a better merchandise seller that most of the locker room superstars.
As seen on Raw, Neville was not at all happy about Enzo being his opponent at No Mercy. He is a high-class athlete in compare to Enzo who messed up his move on Raw. So, if he is unable to please the creative, then there’s no way that he can dethrone The King of the Cruiserweights.
