WWE News: Plans Around Four NXT Superstars Who Arrived On Main Roster
A clear-cut surprise was waiting for us on this past episode of WWE Raw and Smackdown Live. Four superstars from WWE NXT roster made their debut on the main roster, all of a sudden. None other than Triple H, the head of WWE NXT was present to give the big news to the audience to give them thrilling news while kicking of WWE Raw.
He confirmed that all four of the WWE NXT debutants will be in action on the flagship show. These four names were Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black, and Ricochet. Black and Ricochet competed in singles competitions whereas the rest of the two names featured in a tag team match.
Seeing WWE NXT superstars are indeed a thrilling experience for the fans as they bring out pure intensity while stepping inside the ring. In this case, all of them picked up wins on their debuts to leave big impacts on the audience. Their high-flying actions were able to impress the fans of WWE programming who may not love to watch NXT programming.
Also, we should mention that Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black, and Ricochet were present on Smackdown, as well. They performed on Tuesday Night to pick up more wins. This leaves us with the question of whether they are going to stay on the main roster, from now onwards.
Wrestling Observer Radio has an update on these WWE NXT imports. They confirmed that all of them might continue to perform on WWE’s live TV tapings, for now. But their status on the WWE NXT roster might also be kept intact leaving us in some confusions, (courtesy stillrealtous.com)
“Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that current plans call for all four of them to work Raw, SmackDown Live and NXT for the time being. It’s unclear how their call-ups will impact the card for NXT TakeOver, as Meltzer noted a Ciampa vs. Gargano match was seemingly being teased for the pay-per-view, and this week they were working as a tag team on the main roster.”
As you can see, they will be a part of the main roster for now. But Tommaso Ciampa is the current NXT Champion, and Johnny Gargano is the NXT North American Champion. So they are basically the prime figures of the NXT division. It’s unclear how the developmental brand will run in these superstars’ absence.
In addition, Wrestling Observer also reported that Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano will compete at Fastlane pay-per-view. They will challenge The Revival for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships.
