Roman Reigns will take on Bobby Lashley at the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV. These two have been in a feud over the past few weeks for someone who is not present on WWE Raw.
Brock Lesnar is the name concerned in this situation, who is on an indefinite hiatus from the WWE because of which the Universal Championship is also absent from the prime show.
Now, this upcoming match was about to find the next challenger for the beast incarnate. But the GM has not made this official, till date. However, the winner of this upcoming contest could become the number one contender for the Universal Championship. Summerslam is the most likely place to have the lifetime match against Brock Lesnar.
Recently, we have received an update from Bryan Alvarez about the outcome of Bobby Lashley vs Roman Reigns. He stated the most probable reason why WWE arranged this match. Furthermore, we also got a hint of the most probable winner of this bout.

The veteran wrestling journalist talked on Wrestling Observer Live about this match. He mentioned that how the officials booked these two superstars in a feud against The Revival in recent times. This past edition of WWE Raw witnessed Bobby Lashley, and Roman Reigns teamed up against the heel faction, once again.
It was Reigns who denied to make the tag to his partner. As a result, Bobby Lashley left the match causing in beatdown to The Big Dog. Alvarez believes this is the inevitable story-telling by the creative team where they want to create sympathy from the crowd after getting beat up.
Furthermore, the outcome of the Extreme Rules match will also not favour Roman Reigns. It is in contrast to the current sources those are predicting another rematch between Reigns and Lesnar. Instead, Bobby Lashley will get the huge win of his career to head on to WWE Summerslam. It would set up a contest between the two behemoths, i.e. Lashley and Lesnar.

“Listen, I don’t think it’s out of the question at all, that Bob (Bobby Lashley) is gonna win at the (Extreme Rules) PPV. That’s a story they’re telling with Roman (Reigns).”
“Roman’s a loser; they’re never giving him his opportunities; he keeps failing—the idea is that you’re going to get behind the guy (Reigns). It sure didn’t work (on RAW), because he tries real hard…”
“(Reigns) wouldn’t tag his partner and he got beat as a result. (The Revival) gave him a Shatter Machine, and the fans chanted ‘one more time’.”
