Overall, six teams from WWE Raw and Smackdown competed in it to deliver the very best actions. It was indeed a tooth and nail battle among them for the beautiful titles ready to grace the champions’ waists. Finally, it was Sasha Banks and Bayley who pinned the team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to become women’s tag team champions.

Rumors were running rampant all over the internet around these titles for quite sometimes. It was actually going to be unveiled during the Evolution PPV event back in October 2018. But for some reasons the plans had to be pushed. With Wrestlemania approaching towards us, the expectations are that WWE will arrange something big for the women’s tag team championships.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter has hinted the potential match that could be waiting in this capacity. Apparently, there could be a four-way women’s tag team match at Wrestlemania. It will feature superstars from WWE Raw, Smackdown and NXT. However, these plans are not concrete yet, (via stillrealtous.com)

“It’s also being reported that one idea being discussed for WrestleMania 35 would see the titles defended in a four-way match against a team from Raw, a team from SmackDown Live and a team from NXT. However, those plans are not set in stone and as of right now that match hasn’t been added to the card.”

Previously, the rumors were that Trish Stratus and Lita will be returning at Wrestlemania 35. They are set to challenge Sasha Banks and Bayley for the women’s tag team titles. Since WWE could not host this match at Evolution, they might be gunning for a spot at the biggest event of the year. So these two could be the fourth name in the mix.

Sasha Banks and Bayley already declared their intentions to be strong champions. They are intending to defend women’s tag team titles to any teams be it present or past. This certainly indicates that WWE can bring back some of the names from the past to set up a huge match at this year’s Wrestlemania.
