The earlier reports hinted that two names were the most favorite to win the Money in the Bank briefcase match. Drew McIntyre and Andrade were those two. Vince McMahon is specifically high on the latter name that literally guaranteed him to come up as the winner of the Money in the Bank ladder match and become a future Champion on Smackdown Live.

Change In Plan For Becky Lynch At Money In The Bank 2019
But the plans may have changed in recent times around Money in the Bank which suggests that Andrade may no more be the favorite to be the winner of this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match. If this past episode of Smackdown was any indication then he is likely to stay engaged in a recent feud. This will take him forward to capture the mid-card championship, first on the main roster before he reaches the main event level.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer noted the happening from this week’s episode of Smackdown Live. A fatal-4-way match took place with Randy Orton, Ali, Finn Balor and Andrade competing in it. The finish of the match featured Andrade pinning Finn Balor who is also the Intercontinental Champion. Getting a clean win over the champion does mean something.
So the source hinted that Andrade vs. Finn Balor may continue following Money in the Bank. These two already went at each other following Wrestlemania. But they are yet to compete in a title match. With this week’s pinfall win over Balor, Andrade may have just confirmed it. Rumors do also suggest that both these men may eliminate each other costing the Money in the Bank opportunity and thereby planting the seeds for a future opportunity.
Here’s more from the source,
“They did a Four-Way with Randy Orton, Ali, Finn Bálor and Andrade, which ended with Andrade pinning Finn Bálor with a Hammerlock DDT. So even though Finn Bálor has already beaten Andrade, I think we’re going back to Finn Bálor and Andrade for the Intercontinental (championship). A lot of backing right now of Andrade, as far as a character.”
So at present, Drew McIntyre becomes the favorite again to win the Money in the Bank briefcase sidelining Andrade. It could actually work in favor of his character as WWE will slowly build him up for a main-event superstar. Apart from McIntyre, Sami Zayn and Ricochet are also the favorites to win the battle and make history.
