WWE News: Possible reasons for Charlotte dropping the Women’s title on Raw 1

Last week on Monday Night Raw we have seen Sasha Banks winning the WWE Women’s title from Charlotte who held the title for almost an entire year. With Sasha Banks returning to WWE TV it was evident that Charlotte was ready to lose the title. As per the previous reports, the one-on-one match between The Boss and the Flair girl was supposed to take place at Summerslam which was preponed to the night after Battleground. So, what made the WWE Creative to come up with the idea?
On a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, show hosts Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez noted that Charlotte wanted a time-off from the company and that was the reason for her to drop the title. It was legit one since she was carrying the Women’s division since she debuted. The former champion Nikki Bella was sidelined during the entire time when she Charlotte took the center stage.

The two hosts discussed further the legitimacy of the news considering that Charlotte was one of the busiest workers during the last season and they were pretty sure about it being the legit news since they got it from a reliable source. Though, the news was not confirmed either.
Now, a new report from F4WOnline.com suggests that Charlotte taking her time off from the company is false because her schedule in the next six weeks is declared as “brutal”. Whether the original plan was to give the title to Sasha at Summerslam, it was planned for Raw to add more excitement to the first episode of Raw in the new era. The match will now take place in a rematch on August 21st.
Also, the former WWE Divas champion is now cleared to compete inside the ring and she is due for a return. Once Summerslam is over she is supposed to insert herself into the title picture which is rumored reason. However, the title change was the first one after the “brand split” happened. WWE wanted a title change during this time and projected it as a big time.
