WWE News: Possible Schedule of WWE Christmas and New Year Shows 1

WWE.com earlier announced that for the first-time-ever the company would host live shows on both Christmas and New Year.

According to the calendar, December 25th and the 1st January 2018 will be Mondays that is the day where WWE Raw takes place. Being holidays, it was speculated whether the shows would be postponed or pre-taped, this time around.

However, WWE confirmed that both Raw and Smackdown would get hosted as per their regular schedule. It means that we will get to witness the shows even on the Holiday Season being around. Check out the announcement from WWE, here:

“Prepare to celebrate the holidays with WWE this year as Raw broadcasts LIVE on Christmas night, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.

It marks the first time that WWE will present Monday night’s hottest show live on the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. These unprecedented broadcasts aim to best serve you, the WWE Universe, during the holiday season. Additionally, SmackDown will be broadcast live on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

Now, PWInsider.com has come up with the hint of the potential venue of these four episodes. According to the source, both the shows on the last week of 207 will be hosted at the All-State Arena in Chicago, Rosemont, Illinois.

When it comes to Raw and Smackdown in the first week of 2018, the New Year’s edition of Raw will be hosted in Miami, Florida where Smackdown will take place in Tampa, Florida. However, there are still chances that this particular schedule gets changed and both the shows get hosted in Orlando, Florida, as well. There has not been any confirmation by the WWE, till date. The ticket booking section is expected to get updated, soon.

In the meantime, ever since the announcement of Raw and Smackdown getting hosted in Christmas and New Year was out, it received a negative feedback from the pro-wrestling world. The WWE Superstars will not get to spend their holidays with their families which is not acceptable.

In a recent tweet, Jeff Hardy’s wife confirmed that putting the shows on those particular dates were not the decision taken by WWE officials. Rather, the USA Network listed the show to get the ratings up in these two holidays.
