The main event of Royal Rumble 2019 will be the 30-man battle royal itself. Over the years, this is the match that dealt with unpredictability filled up with surprise returns and much more. Plus, it also declares one of the marquee matches at Wrestlemania. So the anticipation among the fans always remains quite high.

Stakes of Royal Rumble 2019 is even bigger as for the first time ever it will take place in a bigger place i.e. in an outdoor baseball stadium. The Chase Field Arena in Phoenix, Arizona will be the host of the show. It means the company will have to sell out 40000 seats that in turn will need marquee superstars to draw more attention.

It almost guarantees that there will be a number of surprise appearances on this year’s Royal Rumble. These entrants have always been one of the reasons for the success of the match. If recent rumors are true then the former general manager of Monday Night Raw is confirmed for the show. Also, an NXT entrant will be there in the over-the-top-rope battle.

Here’s the update courtesy of wwfoldschool.com,

“According to the No Holds Barred podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle and NXT wrestler Velveteen Dream are scheduled to be a part of this Sunday’s Royal Rumble 2019 PPV and they might be surprise entrants in the Men’s Royal Rumble 2019 match.”

We have not seen much of Kurt Angle since the summer of 2018. Stephanie McMahon sent him into a temporary vacation that got converted to a permanent one. Later the McMahons took the show over removing him from the GM post. In between, he has featured in a couple of matches in weekly and PPV programming.

The final one came on an episode of WWE Raw where Kurt Angle and other babyfaces delivered a beatdown to Baron Corbin. Reports suggest that he is in shape to compete inside the ring. So WWE could use the Hall of Famer as a marquee attraction in this year’s Royal Rumble.

Velveteen Dream, on the other hand, is more than ready to come to the main roster. Recently, he raised the anticipation calling out John Cena for a Wrestlemania match. So it looks like that he will receive the call-up just in time for Royal Rumble. Meanwhile, here’s the confirmed names for the men’s division match,
