WWE dropped a big-news on the Christmas Eve edition of Monday Night Raw. Santa Clause aka Vince McMahon confirmed that the women’s tag team titles are coming up. But McMahon never confirmed the exact revelation date for the women’s tag team titles. He did not even disclose any further details because it might be in a creative process, right now. But we have received an insider scoop that hinted the potential timeline of unveiling for the upcoming championship.
Cagesideseats.com has an update about the women’s tag team titles. It revealed that it could surface as early as Royal Rumble. The same source has suggested that the both WWE Raw and Smackdown will be loading up in 2019. Confirmation about these tag team titles will be amongst them. We may receive inaugural champions on the night of Royal Rumble 2019. The mid-card female talents can be the most viable names to hold these titles and make names for themselves.
Meanwhile, some additional reports also surfaced not long time ago about the design of the belt. Reddit user Da Belt Guy revealed the design of the belt. It has white straps similar to the Intercontinental Championship belt in the WWE. The design is pretty similar to the men’s tag team titles. But the WWE logo is bigger in the women’s tag team belts that also retained the Gladiator Helmets on the front.
The source also disclosed that the company has completed the belts and there’s full-on planning going on to launch the division. It posted a similar custom made picture created by a fan similar to the upcoming belt. It looks more of a feminine kind to adjust to the female version theme.
Furthermore, there’s an update that claimed that the women’s tag team title can go beyond one particular brand, (courtesy stillrealtous.com)
“It’s rumored that the belts will be defended between Raw and SmackDown, with NXT stars occasionally getting involved in the women’s tag team division.”
