WWE News: Potential Main Event for Next Week’s Raw 1

The Miz was back on WWE Raw reclaiming the spotlight. He was kept off from the flagship show via an attack delivered by The Shield back on the post-Survivor Series edition of WWE Raw. The Hounds of Justice picked him up to deliver a triple powerbomb through the table to write him off the storyline. In reality, he was out to film the sixth instalment of the Marine franchise.

It was evident the self-proclaimed Hollywood A-lister would seek vengeance on Roman Reigns upon his comeback. So, he wasted no time after arriving on the show declaring that he is going after the Big Dog and the Intercontinental Championship held by him. It is to be noted that The Miz never received the rematch after losing the title.

So, the demand was put in front of the WWE Raw general manager, this week. Kurt Angle took the opportunity to announce one of the main events for WWE Raw 25th anniversary which will feature these two marquee superstars from the flagship show to collide in a championship match.

But, meanwhile, we should gear up for another big main event matchup might be in-store for this upcoming edition of WWE Raw. The plans were discussed by none other than Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter hinting there will be a six-man tag team match will be put on the card.

As reported by SportsKeeda.com, these are the following updates for the January 15th edition of WWE Raw,

“On this particular edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer believes that the attack on Rollins, Jordan, and Reigns at the end of Raw was done to set up the six-man tag the following week. Roman would send The Miz an ominous message on Twitter following the attack:”

As we saw in these past few weeks Raw programming, Jason Jordan has been used as the replacement of Dean Ambrose. So, going forward, he would be used teaming up with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns on multiple occasions, perhaps.

WWE has already made Rollins and Jordan as the WWE Raw tag team champions who are all set to defend their titles at the Royal Rumble PPV.
