WWE News: Potential Plans for Dethroning Brock Lesnar from Title Reign 1
courtesy WWE.com

Brock Lesnar won the Universal Championship back at Wrestlemania 33. He defeated Goldberg on April 2nd, 2017 to start a lengthy title reign.

It is continuing to date. There’s no update when the never-ending run would stop. There are two primary reasons for that.

The creative team has established Brock Lesnar as an untouchable force on the roster. He is a no-matchup to each person one on the roster. Even Roman Reigns could not topple him after getting multiple chances to take the title away. Samoa Joe, Kane, Braun Strowman were the other victims during this reign.

It removed all the viable names from the WWE Raw roster who could have taken the title away from him. It certainly raises the question of who will be able to do the incredible job at this point. The task-in-hand gets even tougher for a second reason that is his absence.

Brock Lesnar barely defends his championship on a regular basis. We have seen only six Universal title matches in his 430-plus day reign.

We need to note that Brock Lesnar is the longest reigning WWE Universal Champion in the history. He has now overcome the former record-holder that is CM Punk. He set a record of 434-day reign with the WWE Championship back in 2012-13. WWE had this in mind all the way to let Lesnar have the current reign.

Now there’s no bar for the beast incarnate to drop the Universal title. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed that Brock Lesnar is defending the title against either Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns at Summerslam. But none of his opponents might become the new champions. Instead, a shocking Money in the Bank cash-in will happen.

The source revealed, “there could be a Money in the Bank cash-in, no matter the result” at the biggest party of the summer.

Brock Lesnar lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the same fashion back in 2015. It is going to be a second straight time that something like this would happen.

This will continue to protect the Conqueror in his current position. He might not have to be pinned or submitted in this case to lose the title. The rumours also suggest this title match will mark the WWE career-end for the behemoth name.
