Shawn Michaels was present on WWE Raw to make a buildup for Super Show Down event. The headliner of the show would be the Undertaker vs Triple H in a match for one last time. No one knows these two guys better than him. So HBK was back on WWE Raw to weigh on the two veterans competing in this match.
Things abruptly changed when the bell tolled, and the arena went dark. The Undertaker arrived at the scene taking a shot to Shawn Michaels. HBK could not end the Wrestlemania streak of The Undertaker at the 26th edition of the show. Even Triple H was unable to do that on two occasions. So, Triple H will be trying it one more time at Super Show Down.
Meanwhile, the Undertaker also threatened Shawn Michaels to lace up his boots and come out of retirement. He urged to compete in one last match against him. It raised the speculations that the rematch from Wrestlemania 25 and 26 might happen at Super Show Down event.
However, current updates wipe out the chances of the same. The marquee match between the Undertaker and Triple H will remain intact on the show. The storyline of Shawn Michaels potentially returning to in-ring competition is just to raise the curiosity high about this match. However, HBK will be an integral part of the match, as per the updates from the Wrestling Observer.
The source mentioned an advertisement had revealed the role of Shawn Michaels for the Super Show Down event, (courtesy Sportskeeda.com),
“There has been speculation over the past few weeks that Michaels would be the special guest referee much like he was at WrestleMania 28, but The Observer today claimed that there was an advert in Australia that was promoting Michaels as the referee for the historic bout between two of WWE’s biggest legends.”
So the two best friends will be on their agenda to defeat the Undertaker, yet again. Previously, they failed to do so at Wrestlemania 28 inside Hell in a Cell. But Undertaker’s growing age took certain tolls on his body. So this time, the Cerebral Assassin might get success to hand over a loss to the Deadman.
