WWE News: Predicted Lineups for the Clash of Champions PPV 1

The annual edition of the Clash of Champions PPV will be the last one in WWE PPV calendar in 2017. In general, this event is hosted once the Summerslam PPV is over.

This year, the schedule got changed to a bit, and this one was shifted to the very last month of the year. The Smackdown brand will get to host the show on December 17th at the TD Gardens in Boston, Massachusetts.

Till date, one match has been confirmed to take place in the PPV event. The WWE Championship will be on the line, as AJ Styles will defend it against Jinder Mahal. The latter one was due with his rematch for the title and invoked the clause at the upcoming PPV. It is also going to be the main event of the PPV, as well.

At this time, EWrestlingNews.com revealed the entire match card of the show. It is not fully confirmed lineups though, as things can change in the future on Smackdown Live. You can check it out below:

WWE Championship Match:

AJ Styles (c) vs Jinder Mahal

Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match:

Usos (c) vs Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin

United States Title Match:

Baron Corbin (c) vs Bobby Roode

Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

New Day vs Rusev and Aiden English

Charlotte, Natalya & Naomi vs Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan

The interesting part about this card is that the Women’s Championship is not supposed to be on the line. It might be due to the debut of the new faction on the show, this past week. Since they are the new names on Smackdown, the focus will be one them. Hence, the trio will receive a PPV spotlight against the prominent names around the female locker room.

Another new storyline will start on the show as per the revealed card. The US Championship feud will now feature Baron Corbin against Bobby Roode. The former rivalry between Corbin against Sin Cara turned out to be lacklustre, and it should be over.

The heel duo of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will finally get a PPV spot after not been able to be a part of Survivor Series. They will compete against the dream team of Orton and Nakamura.
