The dream match between John Cena and Roman Reigns had over-delivered, for sure. For those WWE fans, who thought that the contest was overly hyped up, they got their answer after this one-of-kind match at No Mercy. The two franchise players went beyond their limit to give the fans a lifetime experience.
Otherwise, we don’t often witness a match where John Cena is hitting four Attitude Adjustments and unable to pin his opponent. After all, he got the Big Dog opposite him, and it needed something supernatural to pin the new Guy around here. Reigns, himself hit two mammoth spears including one through the table to put Super-Cena away.
The end was predictable considering Roman Reigns is considered as the new babyface for the company, right now. So, he cleanly pinned the Cenation Leader with a combo of Superman punch and a spear. The crowd booed this win, loudly.

They knew what was coming and right after that John Cena raised his successor’s hands up to declare that he runs things around here from now onwards. The crowd chanted “Thank You Cena” to give him a standing ovation. The 16-time world champion gave a bow down to the crowd before leaving the arena.
The reason behind this is not a retirement for the Cenation Leader. Rather, he is Hollywood-bound, yet again. As for now, he will take another time-off from the WWE for filming upcoming movies. Presently, he is scheduled to film the Transformer series spin-off: Bumblebee movie.

So, we can’t expect him to be around WWE Raw for sometimes. So, the finishing segment between Reigns and Cena was to write the latter one off from WWE TV. He will be unable to compete at the next PPV, WWE TLC in October, as the hiatus will start from the following night.
But, he is expected to come back in time for the Survivor Series PPV. It is going to be the last dual brand PPV of 2017, and Cena is expected to compete in a marquee match.
