WWE News: Reason Behind Bray Wyatt Facing Seth Rollins At Great Balls Of Fire PPV 1

The feud between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt has started from a couple of week onwards. The Architect was competing in a match against his long-term rival, Samoa Joe in the main event of Monday Night Raw when the lights went out all of a sudden with Wyatt’s pyro on the screen.

This was done to distract Rollins so that Joe could capitalise. The exact same thing happened, as Joe picked up the win by locking in the Coquina Clutch. This led to a confrontation between Wyatt and Rollins on this week’s Raw as to start the feud, officially. This time, too, the self-proclaimed God got the upper hand with his mythical powers.

Now, prior to the beginning of this rivalry, the actual plan was to make a match between Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt at the Great Balls of Fire PPV. Ever since the “New face of the Fear” was sent to Raw from Smackdown, he was targeting none but The Demon King on a constant basis.

However, the scheduled feud never kicked off properly due to constant reshufflings in the card. As per the earlier plans, Braun Strowman was supposed to face the returning Brock Lesnar, whereas, Seth Rollins should have continued his feud against Samoa Joe. Balor would have received a match at the July-PPV against Wyatt.

But, the injury to Strowman caused a serious headache for the creative, as they had to pencil new programs, thereafter. The sources suggest that initial plan for Summerslam was to make a fatal-4-way match for the Universal Championship including Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Strowman.

However, with The Mountain among Men being sidelined, the feud between Samoa Joe and Rollins came to an abrupt end. This is the reason that Joe was inserted into a championship opportunity, all of a sudden. Also, Rollins was pitted as the new target for the Eater of the World.

For now, there’s no chance of seeing a Balor vs. Wyatt match in the near future. This is due to the reason that the former one is supposed to feature in the Universal Championship match at Summerslam 2017. So, the much-anticipated feud might just be postponed for the later part of the year.
