Randy Orton missed the bygone UK tour of the WWE. It was a regret for the fans not seeing him wrestle in the shows. This is not the first time that he missed house shows in recent times.
Rather, he works in a limited number of shows throughout the entire year. But, the fans expected to see him in action on this particular tour.
The UK tour always features the very best names on the match card. Last time around, Triple H and Kurt Angle entertained the fans with their in-ring presence. This time around, it was none other Ronda Rousey who made her live event debut.
Moreover, this happened with a six-woman tag team match in Switzerland. But, the fans did miss the presence of the Viper on the Smackdown house shows.
We are getting conflict reports behind this absence of Randy Orton. A report from The 434 Facebook page mentioned an Instagram story posted by Orton’s wife, Kim Marie Kessler. In the video posted on her profile, we can see the heavily taped left knee of the Apex Predator of the WWE.
It is an indication that he might be dealing with a knee injury. So, the doctors have suggested him to take some time off from his ongoing schedule. It does prove the ongoing speculations of an injury to be true. But, the veteran wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer wiped out the chances of this sudden concussion.
As per his reports in Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Randy Orton is not dealing with any serious injury or any personal problems. It’s just his contract with the WWE that allows him to go through a lesser schedule, nowadays. He is 38 years old now and can choose the shows to work for, as per the current WWE deal.
It is why the 13-time world champion had not worked in the house show since last summer. Even in 2018, he had wrestled for only 13 times in a year. It indicates how much he has trimmed down the rigorous schedule of the WWE. The last time we saw him was at the Backlash PPV event. He failed to win back the US Championship from Jeff Hardy on that night.
As for now, we can’t expect him to be back on Smackdown Live. Randy Orton should be off from Tuesday Nights for several more weeks. Going by these reports, it is safe to say that one more legendary career is moving forward to the end.
