WWE News: Reason Why Nikki Bella Was Unable To Compete At Survivor Series 1

It was quite a heartbreak for fans after seeing Nikki Bella not performing at the Survivor Series PPV. Charlotte was the leader from the Raw brand while Nikki Bella was the squadron head for Smackdown. However, just prior to the match, we found out that Nikki was attacked by some unknown person and that’s why she was unable to participate in the 5-on-5 Tag Team elimination contest.

Her absence proved to be a big blow for the blue brand as they suffered a huge loss. The earlier speculations said Nikki Bella might have suffered some minor concussions. So it was WWE’s way to write her off from the television with the storyline.

But recent reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests it’s nothing to do with any injury. It was long term planning to keep Nikki off from the dual brand PPV and build a long term story-telling. We still don’t know who the attacker was till now and will not probably in the upcoming weeks as well.

Although, Carmella was accused of it and even she teased it on Twitter, she might not be the one who did the unforgiven task. As seen on the Survivor Series pre-show, Nikki was spotted with Becky Lynch in the locker room area confronting Charlotte and her protege. After the women’s from Raw departed, Becky was the one who was with Nikki. This gives us some hints.

After TLC is over, it might be revealed that Becky was the attacker to start a new title feud. Despite being the champion, she was not chosen as the leader of Smackdown which made her jealous. This would further make the storyline more interesting. As of now, Nikki Bella vs. Carmella in a NO DQ match is supposed to wrap up the rivalry between the two.
