Jun 9, 2018 at 4:50 PM
Jonathon Coachman started his career on WWE Raw. It was Vince McMahon’s brainchild show which gave him the initial fame. He used to be a regular name during the Ruthless Aggression Era of the company.
WWE used him in backstage interviewer as well as in the commentary table. He played the role of the general manager of the show at one point too.
One of the best sports journalists of this generation wanted to taste the non-scripted world after that. So he cut the ties with the WWE and joined ESPN. It made Jonathon Coachman a big name in the world of mainstream sports. This stint continued for multiple years. He kept contact with the company hosting WWE segments and interviews.
WWE renewed a deal with Jonathon Coachman early this year. Booker T was his predecessor on the commentary desk. He had some issues with one of the panellists. So the famous journalist was back on Monday Night Raw joining Michael Cole and Corey Graves.

WWE Universe respects this man a lot. They loved this new inclusion to the desk. But Jonathon Coachman has been quite an irregular name. He has been absent from the flagship show for the past couple of weeks especially. The fans did want to know the real reason behind this.
It appeared to be Johnathon Coachman was in the Atlantic City in New Jersey. He was out for covering The World Long Drive Golf Championships. So he could not attend this week’s WWE Raw from the Toyota Center in Houston Texas. David Otunga filled in for him on the show.
Doing great on the golf commentary but ur missed on raw commentary isnt the same without you coach!??

The internet was not much happy about this. They were not pleased to see Otunga back on live TV doing commentary.
The Coach saw this on the social media and reacted on these. He clarified this is going to be his last event for quite a while.
This would his last outside duty apart from WWE. So he should not miss another episode of WWE Raw in the near future.
Thank you Renee. This is my last event for awhile. They just came pretty quick together so it seems like more than it is. Only 4 total. So I will be at 48 Raws this year. I the real world that’s a lot. So thank you. https://t.co/Q4FjISYtTh

Cole and Graves previously mentioned Jonathon Coachman was on ‘assignment’. They did not clarify what job it was for the veteran journalist.
We got to know the same from the man-in-concern himself. Coach should be back on next week’s WWE Raw from Little Rocks, Arkansas.
