WWE Raw had received an acting general manager instead of the full-time figure, i.e., Kurt Angle. The change occurred via an appearance from Stephanie McMahon on this past edition. She was there to address the Evolution PPV. But consequences forced her to vent out frustrations on Kurt Angle. As a result, he will have to stay away from the scene.
Stephanie McMahon was present on WWE Raw to hand over the women’s title to Ronda Rousey. She also hyped-up the Evolution event for the women’s division. But things turned out to be volatile when the champion attacked her and tried to rip her arm off. The commissioner blamed Kurt Angle for it.
She found him guilty for not handling the superstars effectively. So, now Kurt has to take time off from WWE Raw and go on a vacation. In his absence, Baron Corbin would be the acting general manager of WWE Raw. We should note that he was already in charge as the personally appointed Constable of the show for past several weeks.
Now the question remains why WWE Raw creative team took Kurt Angle off the TV. It was a storyline perspective to keep him away from TV taping for the next several weeks. Joe Peisich gave a significant update on this situation on Barnburner’s fired-up podcast. Plus, he also hinted the expected return of the WWE Hall of Famer.
As per the source, WWE is trying to bring Kurt Angle back as a full-time wrestler. He was campaigning for the same for quite sometimes. It looks like the officials have finally heard his pledge. They have provided him some time to train by himself to be back in good physical condition.
Peisich hinted the Olympic Gold Medalist would return on WWE Raw around October. WWE had already booked him for the Super Show Down event in the same month. He is likely to wrestle on the show as per the source. Constable Corbin could be his immediate opponent after returning to the scene.

Kurt Angle came back to the WWE last year, as the headliner of Hall of Fame ceremony. Vince McMahon made him the general manager of WWE Raw just after Wrestlemania. He is on the same post ever since then although his focus is still on wrestling. We have seen him competing in tag matched on three occasions, i.e., TLC, Survivor Series and Wrestlemania.
