The stage was all set for the first-ever Extreme Rules match for women in WWE. When it comes to friends turning into enemies, we do know how bad the rivalry can turn out to be in the industry.

This time around, things were no different between Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax. These two had a stretched feud during the Wrestlemania season.

Just when it looked like they are over with it, Alexa Bliss cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Jax to become the new women’s champion. It renewed the rivalry over the title at the Extreme Rules PPV. The general manager of the show converted this contest into an Extreme Rules match to make things interesting.

It was the first-ever Extreme Rules competition in the history of the women’s division. So they have been able to add another gimmick match performance under their name. If that was not enough to hype-up the bout, Ronda Rousey was present at ringside for this occasion.

Kurt Angle had banned her from appearing on WWE Raw for 30 days. But that could not prevent her from buying a ticket for the Extreme Rules PPV and have a front row seat for the match. Even her husband was sitting beside her during this bout. Her good friend Natalya joined Nia Jax into the ring. Mickie James joined Alexa Bliss as expected.

James was continued to bring on her heelish antics to give the upper-hand to her buddy. At one point, she threw Natalya into the barricade that made Ronda Rousey irate. She left her chair and went straight into the ring trying to hit James. After shoving her off, Alexa Bliss was her next target. But James gave a chair shot to Ronda Rousey’s back to put her down.

Bliss saw this golden opportunity before her and capitalised on it. She caught Nia Jax and gave her a DDT on the chair in a nasty way. It was enough to put away the behemoth name from the match, as Alexa Bliss earned the pinfall win.

The Goddess of the WWE wrote her name in the history books with this win. She is the winner of the first-ever Extreme Rules Championship match hosted in the women’s division history. But the bad news for her is that a fuming Ronda Rousey will be waiting for her at Summerslam.
