To hype-up last night’s episode of WWE Raw, a huge main event match was announced, last week.
This was the go-home episode of the show for Wrestlemania where the stakes are always kept higher. So, a contest between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor was a good matchup for this big occasion.
These two will compete in the Intercontinental Championship match alongside The Miz in a triple threat capacity. While gunning for the title, these two veteran in-ring athletes grew quite a bad blood between each other. Last week on WWE Raw, Finn Balor stood tall planting down Rollins.
In recent times, the first-ever Universal Champion had locked horns with Seth Rollins for a couple of times where he got the upper hand. On WWE Raw and in a recent house show, he picked up wins against The Architect that already worked as a great booster to his confidence.

The Intercontinental Champion, The Miz graced the ringside area before the match. The two competitors had a tight face-off amongst them before the interesting showdown started.
Balor chops Rollins, twice, in the corner. But Rollins countered with a reverse STO into the corner. Rollins then connected with a blockbuster. Rollins kneed him in the back and applied a chin lock. Later, he went for a top rope move only to get whipped by Balor.

He tried to hit the Sling Blade, but Rollins countered with another Sling Blade of his own. Balor instantly got out of the ring, but Rollins chased him with a suicidal dive.
The match lasted nearly for 20 minutes, as the crowd remained invested into it, totally. The “This is awesome” chants filled up the ring.
Will it be @FinnBalor…
Will it be @WWERollins…
or will it be #ICChampion @mikethemiz who stands tall at #WrestleMania? #RAW pic.twitter.com/gJ3wo8bLkq— WWE (@WWE) April 3, 2018
At one point, the audience marked out when Rollins went for the same buckle bomb move that tore Balor’s shoulder back at Summerslam 2016. But, this time, he was unable to hit it.
Rather, Balor hit a Sling Blade on the floor before dropkicking him into the barricade.

Inside the ring, both men went for roll-up wins when Seth Rollins hit his pendant Curb Stomp on Balor to pick up the win. He posed standing on the turnbuckle as The Miz posed with IC title, too.
