WWE Super Show Down is going to be a unique experience for the fans. It has all the arrangements to attract the mainstream fans all around the world. The fact that it will take place in a cricket stadium can garner attention from the cricket fans. The infamous Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia is the host of the show.

Plus, the company is bringing all the bigger names to perform on this night. Names like Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker and Triple H will compete in the ring. The part-timers’ presence will ensure the sell-out of the show. Undertaker vs. Triple H is the headliner of Super Show Down.

We also informed earlier that John Cena will also be a part of this Super Show Down. Earlier announcements from the WWE confirmed that he will be facing Kevin Owens in a singles contest. We hoped to see a solid match as the rivalry between these two was about to renew. But now it looks like the match is off the card.

Rather, we will see a tag team matchup at WWE Super Show Down. John Cena will have to tag with Bobby Lashley forming a super team. They will compete against the tag team of Kevin Owens and Elias. This announcement makes the stakes higher around for the upcoming show on October 6th.

This is what WWE.com posted about the returning match for John Cena,

“Cena teams with Lashley to go head-to-head against KO and Elias at the monumental event on Saturday, Oct. 6, marking the first time that these four Superstars have collectively shared the ring. While Cena and Owens look to reignite their storied rivalry, which culminated in a thrilling three-match series in 2015, Lashley and Elias no doubt have some unfinished business of their own, but how will these teams perform as a unit?”

We should note that John Cena has an enriched history with Bobby Lashley. These two were part of the Survivor Series team back in 2006. They were the survivors from their team to earn the win. Later these two battled over the WWE Championship as well. It will be interesting to see whether they can get along in a team.

Meanwhile, John Cena will feature in another tag team match in the upcoming month. WWE has booked him for a one-off match at the live event in China. It will also be a tag team match with six men involved in it. It is certain that this part-time stint of the franchise player of the company will continue for now. He is not likely to involve in a storyline until 2019 begins.
