WWE will host the next PPV event on September 16th in San Antonio, Texas. The Hell in a Cell gimmick will be back one month earlier to the schedule. Usually, we see it in the month of October. But this year the company changed the schedule entirely. There will be Evolution and Super-show-down event on the same month.

So the officials had to shift the Hell in a Cell event from its original schedule. Talking of the show brings us to the main event of it. None other than Roman Reigns will be on the spotlight once again. He is the current Universal Champion whether WWE Universe likes it or not. The question remains who his next opponent is going to be.

Cagesideseats.com came up with an update on this. They have hinted that Roman Reigns will take on his old nemesis at Hell in a Cell. Braun Strowman would be his opponent for the upcoming show. The storylines of WWE Raw already hinted it on the post-Summerslam edition. There’s no update whether the match will take place inside the Hell in a Cell structure or not.

Braun Strowman wanted to cash-in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Roman Reigns after the main event. He attacked the champion in order to do so. But Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins arrived on the scene reuniting The Shield. These three tore apart the Monster among Men with a spear and triple power-bomb. We already saw the future match written all over this angle.

But the scenario would be awkward. Braun Strowman is the MITB briefcase holder. So he does not deserve to get a separate championship match unless he cashes the contract in. The question is will he do so in the upcoming weeks to snatch the title away from Roman Reigns? Only then, the title rematch will look suitable for a PPV like Hell in a Cell.

It is also worthy to note that the host venue of the show is advertising Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens for Hell in a Cell. So there’s still a chance for the Prizefighter to come back and challenge the Big Dog for his title. He was not present at the post-Summerslam edition. There could be a certain change in the scenario when he comes back.
