WWE News: Rolling Stone Declared the Memorable WWE Personas of 2017

WWE had the tradition of hosting the Slammy Award each year to crown the glorifying moments of the year. We used to see the male and female wrestler of the year and numerous other spectacular moments receiving awards on this show at the very last of the year.

However, this event was wiped out of the schedule starting from this year and did not come back even at this year, too.

But, the other pro-wrestling sources continued to crown the superstars with their own choices from this year. Rolling Stone has published a list on their official website to let know about the most memorable superstars of 2017 as well as the promising faces that can own the upcoming year. Here is the entire list from the source:

Runner-Up Wrestler of the Year (Male): Braun Strowman
Runner-Up Wrestler of the Year (Female): Pick ‘Em – Alexa Bliss
Tag Team of the Year: The Usos
Comeback of the Year: Jinder Mahal
One-Night-Only Face Turn of the Year: Neville
Overdue Title Run of the Year: Natalya
Most Overdue Yet-to-Be Title Holder of the Year: Nia Jax
Most Welcome Loss of Sanity of the Year: Matt Hardy
Best Fake Onscreen Authority of the Year: Stephanie McMahon
Gamesmanship of the Year: The Ascension
Most Promising Youngster of the Year: Chad Gable
Eeriest Entrance of the Year: Asuka
Most Bittersweet Exit of the Year: James Ellsworth
Most Improbably Awesome Match of the Year: Survivor Series’ Team Angle Vs. Team McMahon
Actual Match of the Year: New Day vs. The Usos
Best Posture: Kurt Angle

In case you don’t know, The Miz is the one who was given the number one spot in the wrestler of the year ranking by the source. Quite rightfully, the match of the year went to the traditional tag team elimination match at the 31st Survivor Series PPV considering the lineup that was the most star-studded in the history of the PPV.

In one side, there were Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, Kurt Angle, Triple H from team Raw, whereas, Smackdown had Shane Mcmahon, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode and John Cena on their side.

Perhaps never in the history of the event, we have got such heavy names included in one single match like this. The buildup and the culmination over-delivered, as well to justify the list, whereas, the brutal fight between New Day and The Usos were also given a spotlight.
