The pro-wrestling fraternity has drastically changed over the last couple of years. The fans are supporting more of the heels rather than the babyfaces which is quite shocking. When it comes to the so-called face of the WWE i.e. Roman Reigns, a regular fan backlash is a notable thing. Fans reserves much despise for the big dog of the WWE where he shows up. The same is applicable for the franchise John Cena in the home country of US.
The trend continued with a recent poll conducted by No DQ.com where fans were asked to choose the worst wrestler for the year 2016. Quite surprisingly fans chose none other than Roman Reigns in the category. It is evident that being the face of the biggest pro-wrestling promotion in the world, he is certainly not the worst wrestler. But, at the same time, it indicates the fact how much hatred the fans have in store for him.
Congrats to @WWERomanReigns for winning the Worst Wrestler, Worst PPV, Worst Match, & Most Overutilized awards! https://t.co/WaPEBHf0mR pic.twitter.com/fr2D7auqx2

The United States champion earned 31 percent of the vote to top the category whereas Eva Marie received 27 percent of the votes to take the second place.
That did not stop the fans’ rage towards the current United States Champion as he was further voted as the most over-utilized superstar of the year 2016. Furthermore, his match against Triple H was voted the worst match of the year. It was the main event of Wrestlemania 32, last year for the WWE World Championship. The match earned 32 percent of votes to become the worst match award.
@nodqdotcom @WWERomanReigns That’s complete bs. Roman is an incredible athlete. Had multiple MOTY candidates. Wake up.

@_JeffMeacham @nodqdotcom Yes I am because this website is a joke for nominating Reigns in worst category.

Congrats on running a wrestling site and having a readership entirely made up of people who didn’t watch any wrestling in 2016 https://t.co/8YrrWXaJHB

The trend of booing Reigns started from 2015 when WWE chose him over Daniel Bryan for main eventing Wrestlemania 31 against Brock Lesnar. Last year, it was an incredible scene at the AT&T stadium when an amount of 1 lakh people in combine booed him out of the arena during his entrance and the championship coronation.
