Even after the devastating failure that Roman Reigns had at Wrestlemania 34, there’s no stopping him to main-event shows.
There’s no doubt that he is and will be the franchise player of the company. Already two big matches are in-store for him for the next two WWE Network special events.
At the Greatest Royal Rumble event, Roman Reigns will get a rematch against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. To entertain the fans of Saudi Arabia, this is going to be a title match inside the steel cage. After getting done with the beast incarnate, he will have a date with the Destroyer.
At Backlash event, Samoa Joe will challenge the Big Dog in a singles competition. This man returned to WWE Raw on the post-Wrestlemania episode. He went right after the franchise player setting up this match. But, in the meantime, Roman Reigns might have hurt himself in a match.

Currently, WWE is on a tour of South Africa where the unprecedented incident took place during a singles match. The Guy was selling out the nights in the main event spotlight, as usual when this happened. He suffered a head injury and was unable to greet the fans, properly.
On April 18th, he featured in a triple threat match against Braun Strowman and Elias. The very next night, Samoa Joe returned to in-ring competition against his Backlash opponent. According to the reports of SportsKeeda.com, Reigns reportedly busted his head open, with blood pouring down his face in the match held in Cape Town, South Africa.

He finished the match on a winning note but did not go to meet and greet the fans, in person, after this. Here’s the update,
“Towards the end of the event, Reigns took the microphone and thanked the fans, saying he had an unbelievable time in South Africa because of them. He went on to explain that he would usually greet the fans and take selfies with them post the show, but wouldn’t be able to do so due to the injury he suffered during his match with Joe.”
Now, it is not confirmed whether his injury is quite severe or not. But, we can certainly expect that he will be able to be back in action in time for Greatest Royal Rumble event. Probably taking rest for a couple of days will allow him to get healed, real quick.
