WWE News: Roman Reigns On The Verge Of A Huge Record Before Tonight’s WWE Raw 1

When it comes to Roman Reigns, there’s no stopping for a push towards him in the WWE. Whether fans like him or not, Vince McMahon has his agenda with him, and he will continue running this yard. After all, nobody can claim of two pinfall victories in a single year against John Cena and The Undertaker in two marquee matches where he snatched the flag-bearer baton.

Going into tonight’s WWE Raw, The Big Dog will feature in the main event scene against The Miz. Last week, he defeated the Intercontinental Champion via clean pinfall in a non-title match to earn a championship game, this week. So, the Hollywood A-lister has his status in serious jeopardy as he might not remain the champion once the show gets concluded.

Despite the most must-see Intercontinental Champion that the Miz is, Roman Reigns is always the favourite one heading into a championship match. This is due to the favouritism that he has from the creative team. So, it will not be a wonder if The Miz loses the title on WWE Raw.

Now, if Roman Reigns can snatch the title away from the champion, then he would become the Grand Slam winner in the company. It means that the Samoan Superstar will be able to capture all the prestigious championships present in current men’s division. He will become the only 9th one to earn the accolade. Here is the rule stated by the company to become a Grand Slam holder:

“What exactly qualifies a Grand Slam Champion in WWE has changed several times as the roster of championships has, and only seven Superstars had managed to meet the current set of criteria: Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, either the Raw (formerly WWE) or SmackDown Tag Team Championship and either active heavyweight title — as in, WWE Championship or, now, the Universal Championship. That is, until SummerSlam, when the ranks of Grand Slam Champions grew by one.”

As you can see, Dean Ambrose was the last one in this list to feature after he won the Raw tag team championships with Seth Rollins at Summerslam. Before him, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Edge, Daniel Bryan, Eddie Guerrero, Big Show and The Miz have done the unthinkable. Roman Reigns will join the list if he topples the Miz, tonight.
