Ronda Rousey did something mentionable on this past Saturday Night. WWE presented us with a special live event from the Madison Square Garden. As always, the company wanted to give the very best to the fans of New York on this night for MSG Live. Plus, this was part of the Summerslam Heatwave tour that presented a number of stars.

WWE Raw was the host of the show. Hence all the bigger names from the brand appeared on the event including two of the part-time performers. The Undertaker teamed up with Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns in the main event of the show to come up victorious. Plus, Ronda Rousey was back for in-ring competition.

The first mentionable thing of this appearance was her debut at the world-famous arena. She had never competed at the Madison Square Garden in a live show. Plus, the audience was raucous than ever on the show to welcome her onboard. WWE handed her a singles contest on the night against her Money in the Bank opponent.

Ronda Rousey vs Nia Jax was a marquee match from the women’s division. We ought to note this was the very first non-title singles contest for the Rowdy superstar. Her only one-on-one bout took place at MITB which was a championship match. This one was out of any title capacity.

The WWE Universe greeted her with a standing ovation. A special referee was appointed for this special match. She was none other than the WWE Raw women’s champion, Alexa Bliss. But she did not dare to step into the ring and appointed Mickie James on her behalf. These two created shenanigans in and outside the ring.

They willingly did not count the pinfalls for Ronda Rousey during the match. At one point, the former UFC performer shoved these two off the ring. It brought another referee to the ring who called things right down in the middle. Nia Jax digested a loss courtesy of the arm-bar submission.

At this time, Ronda Rousey is serving a 30-day suspension from Monday Night Raw. But this did not stop her from doing some live events over the past couple of weekends. She will also be present at the ringside at Extreme Rules. Alexa Bliss will defend her title against Nia Jax in an Extreme Rules match on the show.
