Ronda Rousey continued to break the rulebook of the WWE starting from last week. It marked the rare heel turn from the women’s champion from WWE Raw after which she literally went berserk on every human being. As reported earlier, she is blasting WWE Universe with the nastiest possible language on social media. The trend continued even on her appearance on Pittsburgh edition of WWE Raw.
No Holds Barred match announced for Wrestlemania
She cut a heel promo to the members of the WWE Universe mentioning Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair as jokes. She has no problem to face these two in a handicap match at Wrestlemania 35. Dana Brooke showed up inside the ring requesting for a title match opportunity. It’s the day after a pay-per-view where she generally puts her title on the line. The youngster hoped that the fighting champion will continue to do so.
However, she received a kick to the guts followed by Piper’s Pit on WWE Raw. Ronda Rousey went on to lock in the arm-bar but let Dana go after demanding $60 to see such a devastating submission move. The officials arrived in the scene to stop ‘the baddest woman on the planet’. One of them received a slap in the face from the champion before she walked out of the ring. We are yet to know whether WWE fines her for the misconducts.
WWE confirmed the WWE Raw women’s championship match lineup for Wrestlemania 35 following Fastlane pay-per-view. Ronda Rousey will indeed defend her title in a triple threat matchup. Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch will challenge her in a combined way. This would be the first women’s main event matchup at the biggest event of the year.
Now WWE has been pushing this storyline to the maximum limit in order to garner attention. As if the compact angle was not fair enough, they chose to make Ronda Rousey a heel superstar who has become reckless. We have seen her in the recent past to go out of control while cutting non-PG promos. Talking nonsense about the WWE Universe made this angle looking more intense.
Ronda Rousey targeted the fans for booing her on a constant basis and decided to turn her back on them. Also, changing her character helped to deliver a beatdown on Becky Lynch. It was a long due following Elimination Chamber which became resolved on last week’s episode of WWE Raw. We expected a follow-up from that story last night. Instead, WWE emphasized to build the heel version of the champion.
