WWE News: Ronda Rousey to Feature in Two Dual Brand PPV Matches
Ronda Rousey appeared for the first time in WWE TV at Wrestlemania 31 in a segment featuring the Rock. On that night, these two babyfaces beat the hell out of the bonafide heels, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon which was the best mark-out moment for the fans in the entire year. Later, the segment also received “The Moment of the Year” award, as well.
Ever since this segment happened, WWE fans wanted to see Ronda more in a wrestling capacity. But, that never have been possible, till date considering that she was under contract with the UFC promotion. But, in recent times, she had not made any appearances in the Octagon which suggested that her career in the MMA industry might have been over.
Plus, there has been quite an association between her and the WWE during this Mae Young Classic tapings. She appeared for the same for a couple of night to cheer for her buddy, Shayna Baszler from UFC. There has been a small altercation between the four-horsewomen of WWE vs four-horsewomen of UFC, as well hinting that a match might take place shortly.
According to the earlier reports, the creative team is planning for the same match at Survivor Series PPV. This particular event is quite famous for traditional tag team matches. This year, four ladies from both the WWE and UFC might be booked in the same capacity in one of the main events of the night. This cross-brand match is going to be a huge one for the pro-wrestling lovers.
Also, Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed that there would be an angle to take place at the Mae young Classic Finale that will pave the way for the match. There will be some more altercations between Ronda and Charlotte to set up the potential singles match at Wrestlemania 34.
As part of this, Ronda has already challenged the Queen of the WWE for a contest to make the buildup to the match. This angle will be taken forward or the inevitable match that has been discussed for quite a long time.
