Ronda Rousey defended the WWE Raw women’s championship at Evolution PPV event. Nikki Bella was her next victim in the line of contenders. She punished the elder Bella for her heinous betrayal in recent times and forced her to tap out. This ensured the title remains at home. But she has already received a new contender for it even before the successful defense.
Evolution PPV also hosted a women’s battle royal prior to the WWE Raw women’s championship match. The winner of this contest would have received a future title shot as per the stipulation. Nia Jax turned out to be the winner being the last woman standing inside the ring. So she earned a future shot against Ronda Rousey, automatically.
But for now, the ‘baddest woman on the planet’ will not have to worry about her next championship defense. Rather, she will have to represent the WWE Raw brand at the Survivor Series PPV. This is one night of the year where the red brand goes head-to-head against the blue brand. So Ronda Rousey will have to face Becky Lynch who is her contemporary champ on Smackdown.

WWE aired an unreleased video segment on last night’s WWE Raw from Evolution PPV. We witnessed Ronda Rousey already had a confrontation with Becky Lynch. The latter one interrupted the current Raw women’s champion during her interview with Charly Caruso. This built a lot of tensions around the two of them. Afterward, WWE confirmed the match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch on their official website,
“The two forces of nature will join the battle for brand supremacy in a highly personal showdown. Find out which Women’s Champion will survive the one night of the year where Raw and SmackDown LIVE Superstars compete in head-to-head competition. Don’t miss Survivor Series, Sunday, Nov. 18, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.”
Becky Lynch going up against Ronda Rousey is one of the dream matches that the fans wanted to see. The brand distinction never allowed this to happen in the past. Survivor Series comes up with the brand vs. brand theme which is the reason we are going to see this match at the upcoming PPV event. We expect a firecracker between the two on November 18th when the PPV airs on the WWE Network.
