As per the recent updates, WWE showed interest in bringing Enzo Amore and Big Cass back into the fold. These two were two of the most entertaining superstars during their time in 2016-17. They may have not held the tag team championships be it on NXT or the main roster but earned tremendous fan following for their charisma and promos. So it should not come as a surprise as WWE would want them back on the roster.

On the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer spelled out that WWE is in touch with Enzo Amore and Big Cass. They have not done bigger things ever since leaving WWE which could be the biggest reason that they might decide to come back. Primarily, the belief was that NXT would be their comeback show instead of Raw or Smackdown. However everything depends on what Vince McMahon wants,
“WWE has been in contact with Enzo and Cass about a surprise return to be top stars on the NXT brand. We don’t know if they’ve accepted, but Cass really hasn’t done much on the indie scene and has also made it clear he wants to get back. Enzo, who knows. He says a lot of things but his rap career isn’t exactly going anywhere and he also hasn’t done much on the indie scene but hasn’t walked away from wrestling either.
We don’t know, but the obvious speculation is either a return on the first show or, the way Vince thinks, I could see the third show being the favorite. The crowd in Orlando live would probably go nuts if this happens, and keep in mind we only know they’ve been talked to, not that they’ve accepted, but I can also see a lot of social media negativity toward Enzo in NXT as a featured star. But it’s a war and you want surprises and there just aren’t that many surprises out there.”
The return of Enzo Amore and Big Cass could have been the reason to excite the WWE fans. But it is probably not happening as WWE addressed the rumors with a statement. They have denied the report in a short message issued to Pro Wrestling Sheet. At this point, they have no interest to bring back the duo who’s been performing regularly on the independent scene.
WWE says no interest in Enzo & Cass at this time. So looks like that's not happening.

Both Enzo Amore and Big Cass left the scene on a bitter note with the WWE. Enzo Amore got involved in an alleged rape case after which Vince McMahon had to kick out of Monday Night Raw. The incident reportedly happened over the 25th anniversary of the show in January 2018. As for Cass, his backstage behavior was not good enough to be a WWE professional. So the officials had no choice but to show him the doors, just months after Enzo’s departure.
