Asuka was the strongest NXT women’s champion that we have ever seen. We do not have any other women superstar who had an undefeated streak like her. It continued from 2016 to Wrestlemania 34 in 2018. She broke the previous record of Goldberg of winning 173 straight matches in his career.
However, that was in NXT, and the scene has been different on the main roster. WWE did let her win the women Royal Rumble match in January, but that might have marked the downfall of her career. Wrestlemania was going to be the greatest moment which shattered at the hands of Charlotte Flair.

Ever since then, Asuka has not been the strong name on the roster. A weak link like Carmella had back to back wins against her in the last two PPV events. Following this, the officials even took her away from the Smackdown TV. It’s hard to believe they did not book her in a match at Summerslam.
It might be the reason that a negative story broke out regarding Asuka. The rumours suggested the Empress of Tomorrow walked of the WWE in recent times. She was not happy with her current status on the roster, and this was a way to show it. Previously, Neville walked out of the WWE, last year.

Reports also claimed Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com had broken the news for the very first time. Thankfully that is not the case. The reliable source denied bringing such unbelievable news to the fans. Plus, he also confirmed this story of Asuka is nothing but a lie. She is still with the company maintaining a good status. Check out Mike’s comments,
“I have not reported anything about WWE Asuka leaving WWE, and any website or social media account that claims that I have, is lying to you. Stop supporting people that lie to you. Everything that I say and everything that I report is on @PWInsidercom.”
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio also gave an update on this news. He claimed there’s no truth to these speculations regarding Asuka. She has not walked out of the WWE by any means.

Probably, the officials did not want to ruin her status by making unnecessary appearances with her before Summerslam. Officials have already booked her in a match at the upcoming Super Show Down event. Asuka will team up with Naomi to take on against the IIconics.
