We have heard the talks of a tag team division coming into the WWE for the female roster. There can’t be a better time to launch this new division. The stage that the women’s roster currently is quite a high. The company gave a huge push towards them.
WWE has taken the women’s revolution to the next level with Evolution PPV. The entire roster of the female superstar is quite huge at this point. There are plenty of talents in combined on both WWE Raw and Smackdown Live. If we count the NXT superstars, then we will get numerous names those are technical wrestlers.
The inclusion of Ronda Rousey made the WWE women’s division look better than ever. She will continue to deliver some marquee matches from the flagship show. Charlotte and Asuka will continue to carry the load on the Smackdown show, on the other hand. Launching the tag team division would have been helpful at this point.
It would allow some less technical wrestlers to pick up the momentums. It is a good way to establish them as main event superstars. Names like The IIconics, Alexa Bliss-Mickie James, can be assets for this division. Also, Bayley and Sasha Banks could have got back their strong status on the roster.
But the current reports are suggesting there’s no chance to see it shortly. WWE.com gave a hint of introducing a tag team division at the beginning of this year. We have seen them competing in different gimmick matches like Elimination Chamber, Royal Rumble, Hell in a Cell, MITB and more. So, this announcement seemed legit.
A report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com wiped out those chances. The wrestling journalist confirmed there’s no backstage talk going on over a women’s tag team division. It is what he stated via ringsidenews.com,
“There’s been no talk of a WWE Women’s Tag Team Division at this point. I don’t know where that got started, but no.”
We were pretty sure to witness a revolutionary step in the women’s division of the WWE. Introducing the tag team division would pave the way to hire more such talented female wrestlers into the company. But currently, that process has come to an abrupt halt.
