WWE News: Saudi Arabia Gears Up for Greatest Royal Rumble Event 1

Tonight, we will witness history from the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the form of Greatest Royal Rumble.

Never before in the history of the WWE, a special live event like this was hosted before. Previously, it was about to be a live show to entertain the huge fanbase of the country. But, later, the sports authority of Saudi Arabia signed a special contract with the WWE.

It is said to be million dollar deal due to which WWE will host more such special shows in this country on a random basis. With all the marquee names from the WWE competing on this special night, the venue of the event has already been sold out.

In case you don’t know, the King Abdullah Sports Stadium in Jeddah will be the venue to watch out for on tonight. The stadium is ready for the rumble, as the decoration is fully complete. Some of the inside pictures have been out on the internet giving us a preview of the same. From the initial looks, the setup looks stunning.

Greatest Royal Rumble is no less than a Wrestlemania set just like the match card, itself. In the capacity of 62,000 people, the show organisers needed to do something spectacular to fetch the audience. It is needless to say that they have over-delivered, certainly. In case you don’t believe then some of the pictures are given within the articles.

It’s hard to believe that WWE has been able to host such a huge show outside their familiar territory of United States of America.

As per the reports of cagesideseats.com, the company will be earning 100-200 million dollars just by hosting the show itself. Adding the Satelight rights, ticket and merchandise selling, the summed up money would be even bigger.

WWE uses pyro techniques on an occasional basis. Since this is one of those grand occasions, it might be likely that this might be brought back on this one-off night. Meanwhile, to hype up the fans, even more, The Undertaker reached in Saudi Arabia, yesterday.

After arriving at the hotel, he was seen spending times with the fans to give them a lifetime opportunity. Greatest Royal Rumble kick-off will start streaming on the WWE Network, tonight, from 8.30 PM onwards, whereas, the main show will begin, one hour later. It will continue to air for more than five hours since then.
