One of the most favourites amongst the WWE PPV gimmicks is the TLC PPV. It is an abbreviation used for the original bigger term which is Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. Previously, in the last decade, this gimmick was used to hype up a particular matchup. One-off matches were arranged on this gimmick featuring these toys around the ring which are legal for the match.
Over the times, it turned out to be one of the most loved gimmicks in the company and hence WWE came up with an entire PPV around this one. The tradition started back in the year 2009. Since then, we have witnessed this one event in the month of December, every singles year.
This year, however, we are going to get a preponed edition of the PPV. For the first time since its invention, the PPV is going to take place in a slot rather than the month of December. The venue of the event has disclosed the details of the TLC 2017 PPV, recently.
The Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota will be host to the TLC PPV. The event will take place as a Raw-exclusive PPV on October 22nd, 2017. The tickets for the event will go on for sale starting from this Friday, June 23rd.

Now, TLC has always been a dual brand PPV featuring matches from both Raw and Smackdown since its beginning. However, the brand extension rules came into effect from last year and it was hosted as a Smackdown-exclusive event on last year’s December. So, there’s a change as well since it will witness a brand shift.
Till date, two PPVs have been confirmed following Summerslam and both of them are Raw-exclusive PPVs which are No Mercy and TLC. Interestingly, both of them were part of Smackdown events, last year. This indicates that the blue brand will also get some of the Raw-exclusive PPVs in the near future.
Plus, with No Mercy and TLC both being hosted earlier than expected, it is certain that WWE might be intending to insert a couple of newer events in their PPV calendar. Great Balls of Fire was the first new PPV of this year and we should not be surprised if a second one gets confirmed, soon.
