During this week’s closing segment of Raw, Seth Rollins suffered a vicious attack at the hands of Samoa Joe, who made a major impact upon his main roster debut. Rollins wanted it for months and Triple H once again proved why he is called the Cerebral Assassin of the WWE. This perhaps cemented Samoa as the Triple H’s new poster boy.
It was clear from the scene that Rollins has suffered an injury during the attack. But the WWE did not give any update on that night since the MRI was not done.
After heading to the backstage Rollins was examined and doctors advised him to undergo the MRI process to examine the extent of the damage done to his knee. It was the same knee that forced him to relinquish his WWE championship prior to Survivor Series PPV on that year.
After the reports came, WWE’s official website posted the update telling that the Architect has indeed tweaked his knee. This was the statement:
Seth Rollins’ right knee was re-injured during Samoa Joe’s ambush at the conclusion of this Monday’s Raw, WWE.com confirmed. The attack occurred as Rollins was heading to the ring to finally confront Triple H, who cost The Architect a WWE Universal Championship opportunity back in August 2016

However, the doctors have not given any update about the severity of the injury or for how much time Rollins will have to spend outside the ring. ‘The Man’ also took his twitter handle to let us know about the injury.

The rumor mill is suggesting the injury is just part of a storyline process to build up the next chapter of Rollins-Triple H rivalry which will culminate at this year’s Wrestlemania.
