Vince McMahon has a strong propaganda when it comes to wrestler’s safety and that’s why WWE has been toned down the brutality of several moves. There were certain moves in past which shortened the careers like Edge, Stone Cold, and Daniel Bryan. These past incidents have forced WWE to make a strong wellness policy and all the stars are abode by this.
Such incident happened in the case of the Architect, Seth Rollins. His pendant move, Curb Stomp was banned suddenly. He was last seen using the move at the night he created history at Wrestlemania 31 by cashing in his money in the bank briefcase and stealing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Brock Lesnar. Seth Rollins had an interview in the Chris Jericho podcast “Talk is Jericho” where he revealed the exact reason for Curb-Stomp being banned.
Seth Rollins told Jericho that he had a long argument with Vince McMahon with his finisher being reinstated. But to the surprise of all, it was not banned for being too dangerous for the wrestlers. Vince thought it was too easy and kids might imitate it so easily and perform it at home. So he adopted Pedigree as the finishing maneuver and it was totally his decision and not Triple H’s.

He also declared that he sad after hearing Bret Hart’s comment on him after the tragedy of Cena’s nose being broken, happened by his knees.
He felt that the Hitman was unkind towards him when he uttered the following about the incident:
“Shawn was always really safe. He was always a really safe worker, but I don’t know about Seth Rollins. That knee in the face that he gave to John Cena was unprofessional, at best. It’s really strange that a guy like Rollins, who I have a lot of respect for, would be that reckless with that knee in the face. If someone kneed me in the face like that, I would have met him in the back dressing room with a baseball bat. There’s just no excuse for it.”
“You can’t hurt somebody like that under any circumstances. It’s totally reckless. It can’t happen. The other thing is, when you’re the champion, you have a responsibility to not get hurt. You have to be spot on. I love that Rollins kept going on and finished the match, and that shows a lot of courage.”
In response, Seth told Jericho that he had a hell lot of respect for Cena. In fact, he looks upon Cena as the benchmark but that comments from Bret Hart did hurt him a lot as he said the following:
“I have all the respect in the world for this guy,” Seth begins, “But Bret Hart had some comments about me and how safe I am in the ring because of John’s broken nose and my getting hurt while I was the champion. And that hurt my feelings. I haven’t seen Bret since then, and I know he comes from a different era when they worked through a lot of stuff, but that sucked. For him to say that—in a Sports Illustrated interview—was rough.”
